What are medicinal mushrooms?

Medicinal mushrooms are special fungi that have been valued for centuries due to their natural ingredients. They contain, among other things, polysaccharides, secondary plant compounds, and micronutrients, and are used today as part of a conscious diet. Name meaning & name origin

Enoki – also known as Enokitake 
Enoki is the Japanese name for the mushroom Flammulina filiformis. It is particularly well-known in East Asian cuisine. Cultivated Enoki are recognizable by their long, slender stems and small, light-colored caps.

Appearance & Features

Unmistakable in shape 
Cultivated enoki typically grow in dense clusters. Their long, slender stems and small, rounded caps give them their characteristic appearance. In their natural form, enoki can look significantly different and have a darker color.

Usage & Culture

Long known in East Asia
Enoki are well known as edible mushrooms, particularly in Japan, China, and Korea. There, they are used in a variety of dishes and added to soups, stews, and other meals, for example.
